Press for Nationale Blue / Shark & Bear split 7" (LBP-019)

from One on One Punkrock

Bands tend to bring something with them when they go on tour - same with the Nationale Blue. On their European Tour early this summer, they had a Split-Single with Shark and Bear with them.

With the Nationale Blue having changed itself somewhat (which we'll get to soon in an Interview) so goes their music, leading them away from the sound of their debut "A Different Kind of Listening". In the future, it will yield fewer instrumentals and more songs in the Classic Rock vein. They demonstrate this superbly on the song contained here, "The Drift". One could say Dischord in 1994.

Shark and Bear, on the other hand, put down a purely instrumental track, "M. Monstrosity". Not in the league of bands like Tortoise, but Euphone and Shadowy Man on a Shadowy Planet are within reach, and this song falls somewhere between the two.
